Artemisia
Leading industry
inclusivity.
Artemisia is a project I created for a hypothetical female artist-only tattoo shop. The focus of the shop is to promote inclusivity in tattooing and to foster an environment where everyone from any background feels comfortable getting their dream tattoo.
Identity
The name Artemisia comes from the 17th-century painter Artemisia Gentileschi. Artemisia broke down barriers for women in art, and most of her pieces depicted powerful women as their protagonists. She made work that depicted women with duality and complexity, and expressed that femininity and savageness are not mutually exclusive. Her contributions to the art world are depicted in the logo, with her silhouette inspiring the cameo and the sword connecting back to a plethora of her paintings.

Advertising
The advertising for Artemesia was made to be punchy and direct, while also highlighting the importance of inclusivity in the business. Designs include outdoor, print, and paid social.
